Needles green on top have attractive white underside. Taxodium distichum, SWAMP/BALD CYPRESS ,4, 5,6,7,8,9, Mature height - 60'x20', Growth - Fast, Light - S, Soil - Med-Wet, Origin - Introduced to US in 1640, found Delaware to Florida. Very adaptable to conditions. In wild seen in permanent swamps but grows well in sandy soils where there is moisture. Has been used as a street tree owing to little leaf litter from this deciduous conifer. Soft green spring needles turn darker in summer and golden russett in Fall color.
