An attractive little tree with narrow blue green leaves
that flutter in the wind revealing silvery underside. Dark red catkins and red-pink cut stems are useful in
floral arrangements. We find this one of the first catkins to appear, useful for
insects and bees that poke their heads out on warm February days. Produces great
rods for basketry. This is highly recommended aesthetically and from a
utilitarian standpoint. If your not a basket maker I am sure you always need
poles for staking, let this willow do it for you.

A long time favorite. Green leaf that stays good through
out summer. Winter reveals in mature plants a spreading tangled mass of branches
with flattened ends that are very attractive in arrangements. If cut back hard
in late winter yearly, will provide longer stems. Catkins turn yellow and
complement daffodils in Spring.
