Easy to grow in varying conditions and will colonize by suckering. Not for the small garden but worth it if you have a larger area. I noticed a patch at a prominent landscape architects house, who admitted to a yearly debate on its merits and 'should he take it out'. It continues to survive the scrutiny.
Spireas easy care and adaptable characteristics have made them a popular landscape plant to be used on mass in any hospital parking lot. Outside of that they make nice additions to a perennial bed.
